Boxing matches vary greatly in length. If your boxing match is a professional fight it can last anywhere from four to 12 rounds (i.e. 8-36 minutes) depending on the rules of the individual boxing associations such as the WBA, WIBA, IBF, and so on.
If you are participating in an amateur boxing match the length will be much shorter than if it was a professional fight.
Amateur matches can be either three or four rounds long depending on the association that is sanctioning the match and what category it falls into such as e.g. Youth, Bantamweight, Featherweight, etc.

Why is boxing no longer 15 rounds?
On November 13, 1982, a boxing fight between Ray Mancini and Duk Koo Kim forced a renovation in the sports’ length due to their brutal encounter. The total rounds were decreased to 12 from 15 for the safety of combatants.
